It is with great regret that we must announce that the 2020 series of National Championship and the International Open must be cancelled.

The two competitions that were planned to run simultaneously over the weekend of November 20th-22nd must be cancelled to preserve the safety of all players locally as well as our international friends.

For the local National Championship, it has become increasingly difficult to arrange the possibility of continuing to hold the event amongst the ongoing government restrictions on the fitness industry as well as group gatherings.

Concerning the International Open, after much discussion with the World Capoeira Federation, the only sensible decision is to cancel the 2020 event. With travel restrictions still in place for non-residents as well compulsory quarantine on people arriving from other countries we have no choice but concern the health and safety of our international friends in Capoeira and cancel the competition in 2020.

The scouting and recruitment for the 2021 Hong Kong National team will hover go ahead under a new method of procurement. Hong Kong players should keep their eyes open for those details coming soon.
